Project facilitators create an environment for young people (students) to socialise, read, write, discuss and practice provided materials in a very relaxed and fun environment without the pressure of being judged or graded.
Regular sessions for English Project include: book reading, guiding discussions and reflections, encouraging young people to write and giving tasks if needed.
The responsibilities for math and science project include: liaising with math and science lecturers, organising coaching sessions for math and science.
Your role as a volunteer will involve working directly with learners in deprived schools alongside the subject teachers.
There will be an opportunity to attend capacity building sessions to help you assist you on carrying out your role.
Media Liaison Volunteer will write stories/press releases or case studies for Community Action Africa based on the work we do. These stories will be published on our website and highlighted in other several media venues such as the local press and local radios.
This is such an interesting opportunity to gain practical experience as a journalist in a working environment and the prospect of having your stories published in the media.
Do you want to promote CAA’s work to get other young people interested and have a say on what is important to them? In your role as a marketing and Resource mobilisation volunteer, you will explore different marketing and communications methods including internet and various social media such as tiktok, facebook, whatsapp etc.
You will be responsible for designing flyers, adverts to help recruit young people access the support available to them. You will also be responsible for liaising with partners or funders.
We ask those willing to volunteer with us to commit to one session per week for a minimum of six (6) months. This allows us to effectively plan our work and to ensure that there is continuity and stability.
