Development Of English Reading, Writing & Speaking Skills

The purpose of this programme is to offer support and encouragement to learners to be able to read, discuss, debate and write as a way of learning without the pressure of being graded. The overall objective is to improve academic performance.

YOUTH DEBATE PROJECT

This project brings together the most talented learners from different schools to debate about the most pertinent issues with regards to local, regional and global perspective. The project provides opportunities for debaters to get to know each other, exchange experiences and create bridges of communication through dialogue as well as raising the status of their schools.

WRITING & PRESENTATION

This project helps learners to express themselves, clarify their thinking and communicate ideas through writing. The project encourages learners to write essays based on topics of one’s own choice and interest. Written articles are published in our magazine, The Teen Talk and on CAA’s website Considerations of time and lack of resources (including professional writers) limit opportunities to learn this way in classrooms. Our coordinators make it relatively easy for us to offer this important learning experience.

BOOKREADING PROJECT

This project seeks to get young people hooked onto books. The books provided to young people are very interesting and easy to read as the stories to relate to daily life styles. CAA believes that reading is one of the most beneficial thing young people can do on their own to improve academic performance.
